Think maybe Edward knew what he was doing? I STILL do, and that opinion is stronger than ever, based on these latest revelations. As posted here before, the authors of the Patriot Act of BOTH PARTIES released statements condemning Barry’s use of the legislation for wide-spread general surveillance of anything and everything INSTEAD OF THE SPECIFICALLY TARGETED MONITORING the legislation was intended for….AND WHICH GW USED IN COMPLETE COMPLIANCE, AGAIN, ACCORDING TO THE LEGISLATIONS AUTHORS. Eric TO DATE has done NOTHING FURTHER that could even remotely be construed as “damage” to the interests of the United States. He simply blew the whistle. THIS is the legacy Barry is creating. I do not say “leaving”, because does ANYONE REALLY THINK that IF Barry leaves office he will not continue to play an active role behind the scenes? “…the National Security Agency broke privacy rules and overstepped its authority thousands of times since 2008.

The details were…based on an audit and other…documents provided by…Edward Snowden…challenged claims by…Obama…the NSA was not abusing its authority, and complicated his effort to reassure Americans and Congress…the surveillance programs are nothing to be worried about.

…Nancy Pelosi called the latest reports “extremely disturbing.”

Rep. Mike Thompson, D-Calif…said: “Reports that the NSA repeatedly overstepped its legal boundaries, broke privacy regulations and attempted to shield required disclosure of violations are outrageous, inappropriate and must be addressed.”

…Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., said he planned to hold another hearing in the wake of the report.

The…audit counted 2,776 incidents in the preceding 12 months of unauthorized collection, storage, access to or distribution of legally protected communications.”
